How long does a woven metal fence last?

As our fences are woven from steel, their lifespan will be in excess of 25 years.

Do woven steel fences require maintenance?

No! They don’t require any treatment at all; just let them weather and age naturally. They will quickly take on a lovely brown colour tone.

Are they expensive?

Our woven steel fences are around the same price as the woven willow fences that we also offer (please visit our sister company, WonderWood, at www.wonderwoodwillow.com for inspiration.) However, the steel fences will last for longer whereas the willow fencing, whilst very beautiful, will need to be treated and possibly replaced after 10 - 15 years or thereabouts.

Will they fall down in the wind?

No! The weave allows the wind to pass through, meaning the fence doesn’t act as a solid barrier.

Will my fence stay the dark grey colour of the freshly woven steel?

No, over time, your fence will take on the beautiful brown colour of many of the fences in our gallery section on our “About” page.

How do you deliver the fencing?

All of our fencing is woven in situ. We arrive on site with the steel, and take over the garden for a day or two - but don’t worry; we are very careful of plants and shrubs and like to be as tidy as possible!
